Nominate your local history hero

Nominations are open for our first ever “Local History Hero” Award. The Board of Trustees recently initiated a new award that will honor a local resident who has made a huge impact on saving, preserving, or educating the community about our local history. 

 This might be a person with a unique skill, the power to persevere against all odds, possess amazing story telling skills, conducted research to reveal a little-known aspect of our local history, or gone “beyond the call” to support an historic preservation project. Watch here for a link to nomination guidelines, coming in June. In the meantime, be thinking of who in your life deserves to be nominated as our first “Local History Hero.”
