Local History Hero Award

Nominations Due: September 1, 2025

Nominations will be reviewed by the museum board with the award winner announced on September 13, 2025 at History Rocks.

Nomination Guidelines:

Ideally, nominees live in the HHM collecting area, from the Kitsap county line to the Narrows Bridge to the South, and both Gig Harbor and Key Peninsulas, as well as Fox and Heron islands.

Nominees should have made a significant contribution to our local/regional history during the last five years. This may be an historic preservation project, a publication, a special film or literary project, or a remarkable feat that brought some aspect of local history to light.

The Local History Hero Award is new and will be awarded for the first time in 2025.
