“Hidden in Plain Sight: Boats, Ropes, Floats” is an extraordinary exhibit of original artwork by Gig Harbor artist Curtiss Hall. Each piece is created using a unique watercolor relief technique developed by Hall when teaching high school “batik class” during the COVID pandemic. Hall is known for his 43 years teaching art, mostly at Peninsula High School, but also for his remarkable murals and “transom art” on the Shenandoah.

Now in retirement, Hall is following his passion, and this collection of “directed accidents” is truly one to see up close and in person. Each piece is mounted on plywood that has been tossed and turned in Puget Sound.

Proceeds from artwork sales are being generously donated to the Harbor History Museum.
