As an organization built and supported by volunteers, Harbor History Museum knows the value of its volunteers—they are priceless. To thank the more than 35 active volunteers for their countless hours of dedicated service, Museum staff invites all volunteers to join staff on Saturday, January 23rd from 10am-12pm for the first annual Volunteer Meet and Greet breakfast.
Volunteers provide essential support for the Museum’s operations. From guiding tours to helping conduct research to restoring the Shenandoah fishing vessel, the Museum thrives thanks to its volunteers’ generosity, commitment, and enthusiasm for all things Gig Harbor.
“The volunteers here are the heart and soul of the Museum,” said Sarah Till, Harbor History Museum’s Volunteer Coordinator. “Without their passion and dedication to the Museum, we wouldn’t have all the knowledge that we do about the community and its history.”
Along with current volunteers, the Museum welcomes past volunteers and community members looking to get involved. During the Volunteer Meet & Greet breakfast, attendees will have the opportunity to meet staff and other volunteers, as well as learn more about the Museum’s numerous volunteer opportunities in 2016 and sign up!
