The Northwest Watercolor Society (NWWS) announced that paintings of 60 artists have been selected for the 77th Annual International Open Exhibition that will be on display from April 24 through June 2, 2017, at the Harbor History Museum. The selected entries represent six countries and 19 states from the over 400 entries received from 275 artists.
Please join us on Saturday, April 29th as we officially welcome the Northwest Watercolor Society and their 77th Annual International Open Exhibition. The day will begin with a catered Awards Reception and will be followed by a NWWS-led painting workshop, "Paint-In-Paint-Out." Guests are encouraged to sharpen their plein air painting skills outside with a beautiful view of scenic Gig Harbor. The resource room at the Harbor History Museum will also be available for artists wishing to paint inside instead.
Awards Reception: 11:00am - 12:30pm.
Paint-In-Paint-Out: 1:30pm - 5:00pm.
Please plan on bringing your own painting supplies for the Paint-In-Paint-Out Workshop.
Awards Reception and Paint-In-Paint-Out Workshop are FREE for Members.
For Non-Members, both events are included in price of admission to Museum.
NWWS Co-chair Debbie Roskopf said, “Each year the growing popularity of watercolor worldwide is more apparent and is reflected in the strong diversity and originality of these strong, wonderful paintings. The NWWS exhibition showcases the skill of artists dedicated to watercolor, including many pieces from well-known, award-winning national and international artists. This exhibition will celebrate the versatility of the medium and inspire everyone who visits."
